When I bought a second home to be closer to family, I vowed to only fill the place with reused/recycled & refurbished furniture.
Who wants to spend the money to furnish two houses?
Not me!
I have always worked with my Pops outside. Even now, I love to call and get his advice on how he would approach a piece or fix a problem.
Old furniture, original pieces, jewelry, macrame...I love to start with a singular piece and just see where it leads me.
Over time, the work of refinishing the pieces I found at flea markets and the side of the road and have
filled up my home...now it's time for me to fill up yours!
Starting out my professional life as a dancer, I never expected, or wanted, to handle a microphone. Now, it feels to be an extension of my own arm. I have been a musician and dancer since the 5th grade. Luckily, I don't know any better.
There are so many factors that mold us in this nutty f'ckn adventure, often over which we have absolutely no power.
But music, writing music, singing my own words or others' has always given me the outlet to release pain, celebrate joy and be absolutely transparent with who I am.
I hope you enjoy the music on my link below. There will always be more to come.
I have so many memories around silver and turquoise jewelry. My relatives all had some type of turquoise on them at all times. My Grandfather had a huge turquoise that seems to have been built for his hand. I can't remember a time where he didn't have that beautiful stone, all buried in silver, on his hand.
The thought of creating anything so beautiful has always been in the back of my mind.
A few years ago, I asked a friend about starting something new "at my age". I assumed her response would be cautious but supportive. Her response was, "You're gonna be alive in 5 years anyway, you want to be in the same place?" It hit me like a load of bricks. Why was I even contemplating slowing down on learning anything?
My, "I could probably figure that out" got the best of me and I started my journy to become a Silversmith. There is so much more to come, but I'd like to show you my very first stab at a turquoise ring I made from scratch and where I am with building a studio.
Toxins=bad. Nature=Good.
Well...all in moderation, I suppose.
I use and sell dōTERRA Essential Oils. I also have an incredibly beautiful tribe striving to put the health of our own bodies back into our own hands and would love to share more info with you. I have absolute faith in our family's Dr.s, but I think there are many issues we can care for on our own, if we stay educated.
Do you know how many toxins we feed into our bodies, daily?
Anything purchased through the link below is directly from my personal dōTERRA website.
Here is where you will find all the products, monthly specials and plenty of education. Feel free to reach out directly when ordering or if you have any questions
Remember when we were young and believed we could be anything we wanted to be? We believed in wildly impossible dreams long before something or someone led us to believe they were impossible.
Let's go back to that.
Let's go back to believing we can save the world.
Let's go back to ignoring the differences between us so we can love and play with reckless abandon.
Let's go back to feeding our minds and bodies with the deliciously impossible.
*Write, read, dance and sing everyday to feed the soul.
*Live without embarrassment and believe anything is possible.
*Use our voice for those that truly have none.
*Strive to leave this earth just a little better than we found it.
I still believe we can change the world..I even believe we can fly...even if only in our dreams. #livingthelifeessential
